A neurologist is a medical doctor who diagnoses and treats disorders of the brain, spinal cord, nerves and muscles. In India this typically requires MBBS followed by MD/DM super-specialisation (DM Neurology) or equivalent clinical training. Neurologists work in hospitals, clinics and research centres managing conditions like stroke, epilepsy, movement disorders and neurodegenerative diseases.
