An Orthodontist is a dental specialist who diagnoses, prevents and corrects misaligned teeth and jaws. In India the usual route is BDS (5 years) after NEET UG followed by MDS (Orthodontics) or recognized specialty training; work is mostly in hospitals, private clinics and academic centers.
